Committee on Biotechnology PAS ; Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS

Abstract:

Three methods for the activation of spores of Bacillus stearothermophilus: lysozyme treatment, shaking with glass pellets and thermal treatment in tubes and capillaries, were verified. It wasfound that the highest level of activation was reached during thermal treatment in capillariesat temperature from 110°C to 115°C. However, a better effect is expected in the UHT (ultra hightemperature) installation.
