Dickstein collection

The collection includes part of the collection collected by the mathematician, popularizer of the history of Polish mathematics and publisher Samuel Dickstein (1851-1939). The collection gathers publications published between the beginning of the 19th century and World War II. In 1914, Dickstein donated his valuable book collection to the Warsaw Scientific Society and established the Mathematical Cabinet of TNW, which he looked after until he passed away.
A characteristic feature of each of the documents in this collection is Dickstein's handwritten signature. Often, the documents also have stamps of the Mathematical Cabinet of TWN. They usually also contain a handwritten dedication from the author of the publication or the donor.
