In the framework concerning the fortified settlements of ,,Biskupin"-type crucial role in the matter of their origin, function and process of decline plays the opinion about considerable concentration of population in the region around them. On the example the mesoregion of Sobiejuchy we can observe how in order to support this opinion the foundation of demographic analysis, basis of the contemporary relative dating system and the view of the settlement processes within the Lusatian chronological cycle are submitted
