Description:

The photo depicts a young couple and wedding guests accompanying the newlyweds. Some of the people are in overcoats; this indicates a colder part of year. The newlyweds are sitting in the middle - the woman is in a dark dress and a white veil and is holding flowers in her hands. The man is in a dark suit with a ribbon in the lapel of his jacket. Sitting on the ground there are young boys with musical instruments - a trumpet and a violin. Among the guests there are some women in regional costumes and large white bonnets. The photo was taken in front of a brick building. According to the photo's owner, it depicts the wedding of Agnieszka's brother (mother of the photo’s owner's mother-in-law) - Franciszek (...) with Władysława (…) ; 1932, Gębice near Pępowo, district Gostyń, voiv. wielkopolskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
