The photo depicts a group of people standing in a boat near a lakeshore. Standing on the left is a man in a hat who is holding a net together with a young woman. Apart from them, standing in the boat there are two women, seven children and an elderly man in a suit and a hat holding a fishnet in one hand. There is a lake surrounded by a forest visible in the dbackgroung. According to its owner, the photo depicts a family of a fishermen. Standing on the left is his grandfather Bogusław (…) (a master fisherman). The photo was taken by its owner’s uncle Leon (…) on the lake Byszewskie near Koronowo ; ca 1930, Byszewskie Lake, Byszewo near Koronowo, voiv. kujawsko-pomorskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
