Object description:

Krzemień świeciechowski - surowiec turoński, szary, biało nakrapiany i plamisty określany. Wychodnie zlokalizowane w rejonie nadwiślańskich, prawobrzeżnych złóż turonu dolnego w obrębie Antykliny Rachowa (rejon pomiędzy Annopolem, Świeciechowem i Gościeradowem). Nazwa krzemienia pochodzi od głównego (najprawdopodobniej jedynego) miejsca eksploatacji - kopalni w Świeciechowie-Lasku, pow. Kraśnik. Surowiec został scharakteryzowany przez S. Krukowskiego, J. Samsonowicza, Z. Krzaka i B. Balcera
