At local%5C-government level in particular%2C the Czech Republic then became a key partner. Today%2C the Polish%5C-Czech borderland resembles those between Poland and Germany%2C and between Poland and Slovakia%2C in constituting a model example of innovative cross%5C-border cooperation. While the area first played hosted to Euroregions%2C it later also fell within European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation. And while collaboration between one local authority and another over the border has evolved particularly dynamically%2C as%5C-yet untapped potential would seem to remain. Overall%2C this article seeks to analyse the actors currently operating across the Polish%5C-Czech border%2C from a political%5C-science perspective. These are Euroregions %5C(of Nysa%2C Glacensis%2C Pradziad%2C Silesia%2C Cieszyn Silesia and the Beskids%5C)%2C as well as European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation %5C(of Tritia and Novum%5C)%2C and selected units at local government level. The analysis of the transboundary entities%2C and those engaging in cross%5C-border activity was of a genetic%2C structural and functional nature%2C and this facilitated the identification of similarities and differences between the actors concerned%2C making clear what their specifics are%2C and what the prospects for cooperation.%22]
