The early settlement complex in composition, which consisted of rural settlement, open characteristic of the contemporary period of the early Middle Ages (VII and IX-X century) and fortified settlement from the time of the Piast monarchy (2nd half of the XI-XII century). Among his most important elements were also cemeteries. Many years of excavations carried out in the years 1961-1969 and from 1975-1982. The work in the field was led by Prof. Stanisław Suchodolski and Ph.D. Jadwiga Rauhutowa and a consultant periodically held Prof. Witold Hensel

The photo depicts a small boy in a white outfit with a large bow under his collar. The boy, who has very short cropped hair, is sitting between a woman in a flower-patterned dress and a man in a suit. Standing behind them are: a woman dressed in black with a headscarf and a man in a chequer jacket with his hair combed back. On the back of the photo there is an inscription: “A baptism of a 5-year-old boy, after the return from the emigration. Zbąszyń, May of 1946 (…).“ The photo was taken in a photographic studio in Zbąszyń”
