However%2C the specific nature of agriculture affects farmers%E2%80%99 opportunities to acquire knowledge due to their reduced mobility. Due to the surface character of agriculture%2C and the point and concentrated nature of traditional sources of knowledge%2C they have difficult access to them. The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between the level of farmers%E2%80%99 qualifications and the economic efficiency of the farms they manage. This relationship is presented at four spatial and structural scales%5C: %5C(1%5C) European Union%2C %5C(2%5C) Poland in the whole population of farms%2C %5C(3%5C) Poland in the population of the most marketable farms%2C %5C(4%5C) Poland in the diversified population of farms. On the basis of the conducted analyses%2C it can be stated that regardless of the spatial scale of the research%2C a general and strong regularity has been confirmed%5C: the economic effects of farm activities %5C(or%2C more broadly%2C their economic potential%5C) are correlated with the level of education of people who work or manage them. Not forgetting the great influence on economic condition of farms of such factors as agrarian structure%2C dominant form of land use%2C level of specialization%2C agroecological conditions or physical size of farms%2C it should be clearly emphasized that knowledge is currently one of the key factors conditioning high management efficiency in agriculture.%22]
