Szukana fraza: [Abstrakt = %22Social participation%2C being an active involvement of citizens in managing a community%2C is widely recognized as the foundation of civil society. In recent years%2C the civic budget%2C also called participatory budget%2C has become a widespread form of encouraging inhabitants to actively participate in actions undertaken by local authorities. It has been successful primarily in large cities in Poland. However%2C this initiative%2C although on a minor scale%2C has also been implemented in rural areas. The research objectives of this study include%5C: identification of rural and urban%5C-rural communes employing civic budgeting in rural areas of Poland in 2017. Moreover%2C the author has identified rural municipalities taking advantage of the civic budget as a tool of social participation. Characteristics of submitted projects%2C including financial and structural terms have also been presented. This study is an attempt of filling the gap in the scientific literature%2C as the civic budget in the Polish cities is relatively well recognized%2C the initiative in rural areas has not yet become the subject of the research. At the same time%2C it should be noted that study on civic budget in rural areas is in need of further in%5C-depth analysis.%22]
