In the region of Warmia and Masuria%2C the Marshal Office plays a special role in accomplishing the %E2%80%9Crenewal%E2%80%9D tasks. Regional authorities coordinate the renewal program and undertake numerous social and cultural initiatives%2C organize trainings%2C conferences and thematic workshops. The paper briefly presents the role of the %E2%80%9CVillage Renewal Program%E2%80%9D in the context of planning the public space. Main assumptions for creating such space based on social participation and expert assistance were also determined. The author presented examples of projects in selected villages of the Warmi%C5%84sko%5C-Mazurskie Voivodship%2C including these from the %E2%80%9CActive Village of Warmia%2C Masuria and Powi%C5%9Ble%E2%80%9D program. The paper highlighted positive results of these activities%2C but has also referred to existing problems.%22]
