Abstract:

The author treats the problem of ceramic as a source of knowledge, as a encouragement to consider not only what can one achieve while examining ceramic, but also how to behave to obtain at least anything. He draws attention to the main problem, which should not be solving the problem it self, but anthropological research meant as making relationship between cultures. Diachronic perspective do not decrease significance of the methodological problem in contextually oriented archaeological studies
