Description:

The photo shows a middle-aged woman and man sitting on chairs in a garden against a background of a tree with wide-stretching branches. The woman has smoothly combed hair, is wearing a spotted dress and holding a bunch of flowers. The man with a walrus mustauche has a dark- coloured suit and high boots on ; According to the owner of the photo, it shows Andzia (...) (his grandfather’s sister) with her husband on their wedding day (although their clothes don’t suggest that). That was before the German occupation of Wola Świniecka ; before 1939, Wola Świniecka ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
