Description:

The photo shows a young smiling elegantly dressed woman standing between two men in different uniforms. The one on the left is wearing a cloth hat, the other a hat pretending to be a rogatywka (a traditional four-cornered hat), a galloon on his pennant and a band on his arm with the number “9”. The woman is dressed in a winter coat with a fur collar and high boots on her feet. They are posing for the photo standing in tall grass against a background of bushes and wild plants ; According to the owner of the photo, it shows the same woman as photo 240-1, but in the company of different men ; On the back of the photo there is an inscription: To dear Kazia [from the] genuinely devoted Nelly, Hölzendorf 10.11.1945. as well as an only partly visible stamp (probably of the photographer’s workshop): “Agfa Lupex” ; November 1945 ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
