Standing elderly man in red turban is a medium (bhopa) responsible for the ritual. The other men and children bring more male goats. Photo was taken during the rites of Vachchada Dada, which in Bhujodi is done at night. Participants gather around the shrine lying on the outskirts of the village - men sit on the board shrines, singing and playing drums, falling into a trance dance, and the women sitting on the ground all around. The ritual lasts all night - from dusk to dawn. The ceremony takes place in the month of Maghser Sud, first Monday
