Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). The image shows a man, woman and child participants of feasts of Vachchada dada. It takes place in a small temple dedicated to the deity and built in the field near the village of Kotra. Once a year, one of the lineages of the shepherds kachchi rabari organize this ritual, giving the names of all children born within a year of the previous ceremony. Guests at the wedding ceremony kachchi rabari. Ritual differently than all other nightlife is done during the day (Kartik Sud, first Monday). Participants are dressed in festive clothes traditionally in white, turbans on their heads are in purple-black color in patterns - a sign of belonging to a group kachchi rabari. Men are singing religious songs
