Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). The photo shows a characteristic for the Thar desert farms and cottages. House is placed on a circle with standing upright stud in the center. The walls are built of mud, and the whole is covered with a kind of thatch. Farms are surrounded by a fence with spiky pins and branches, the place where the night closes pets. On the back appear similar farms and houses and desert. This village is inhabited by Hindus belonging to the caste of untouchables - Meghwals
