Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). Dressed in white men and women are the guardians of the tomb of a Muslim saint. They are standing in front of the tomb, in which a central place occupies 'coffin' decked in green materials. On the back sits an elderly man with a gray beard. These types of sites with buried bodies is many in Rajasthan and buried there "saints" are given different terms (pir, miyan). They are also characterized by a divine power that comes from the body of the saint, and thus visited by Muslims but also by Hindus
