Object description:

Photo (scan from slide). A street leading to the Hindu temple in Kedarnath / Himalayas. In the foreground you can see sellers of religious calendars, photographers taking pictures of pilgrims. In the background you can see the high peaks of the Himalayas. Kedarnath is at the end of one of the roads leading north. There are no more inhabited places, and there are paths on which only ascetics walk.
