Prof. Zbigniew Bukowski is celebrating his 90th birthday anniversary in 2021. His impressive scientific record in the field of Bronze Age and early Iron Age archaeology of central Europe is coupled with longtime service as deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Insti-tute of the History of Material Culture (now the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology) of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a longstanding Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Archeologia Polski”, former Director of the Center of Rescue Archaeological Excavations at the Ministry of Culture and Science, member of different Polish and foreign scholarly organizations. In retirement for the past 20 years, the Jubilarian has been active continuously as a scholar in the Sopot and Gdańsk research centers
