Description:

Zespół fotografii zrobionych we wsiach w stanie Maharszta.

Object description:

Photo (scan from slide). Rural cottages and farm buildings made of wood. The villagers of Devgaon cultivate rice and raise animals. The picture shows wooden structures used to dry hay. They stand high above the ground so that wild animals cannot access it. On the left side and in the background, you can see a pen for cows and sheep, which protects farm goods from wild animals. The village is situated in the monsoon zone, hence the predominance of rich vegetation and the presence of a large number of wild animals. A young man is standing in front of the entrance to the farm. Photo taken in the dry season.
