Object description:

Dyrektor kompleksu (z prawej dla widza) oraz tłumacz ekspedycji Wandangombo (z lewej) oprowadzają po zabytkowym zespole świątynnym. Jego klasztory i świątynie nie zostały zburzone podczas prześladowań religijnych w uznaniu dla historycznej roli kompleksu, zmuszono je jednak do zamknięcia, wskutek czego uległy samoistnej dewastacji. Dopiero w latach, kiedy fotografię wykonano przystąpiono do ich renowacji i ustanowiono dla nich status muzeum.
