At the example of those two fieldwork trips the author presents changes both in contemporary Polish religiosity and in her interpretation of the event. Referring to the main theories of pilgrimage, namely perceived through communitas and through contestation, she underlines certain variability of religious events and a need of choosing categories which can grasp this characteristic of contemporary religiosity combining various discourses and various practices. The author proposes the term “aesthetic formations” coined by Birgit Meyer as such category. Furthermore, she indicates contingency of fieldwork, pointing out that even weather can influence anthropological interpretation and suggesting that her interpretations of a Great Fair in Kalwaria Pacławska has been inevitably situational L1 - http://www.rcin.org.pl/iae/Content/61764/PDF/WA308_81475_P326_O-wielkim-odpuscie-w_I.pdf M3 - Text J2 - Great fair in Kalwaria Pacławska revisited. It is obvious that each society has its own pattern for burying people. Material culture enables to broadcast the attributes which are a manifestation of the multiplicity of identities. Some codes of them are readable only for certain groups. The main aim of this article is to identify the traces of children in the funeral rites at the example of the Wielbark cemetery in Cecele and to reflect on the external identity given by society to children in different age categories. For this purpose a full statistical analysis was conducted the results of which became the starting point for an interpretation of the cultural background L1 - http://www.rcin.org.pl/iae/Content/87100/PDF/WA308_86407_P357_Who-are-you-child_I.pdf M3 - Text J2 - Archaeologia Polona Vol. 51-52 (2013-2014) PY - 2016 EP - 42 KW - Roman period KW - Wielbark culture KW - childhood KW - burial rites A1 - Chmiel-Chrzanowska, Marta PB - Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology Polish Academy of Sciences VL - 51-52 CY - Warszawa SP - 21 T1 - Who are you child? Since then, the revision of radiocarbon dates using Bayesian analysis has revolutionised our understanding of the Neolithic period in Britain, demonstrating that flint mines are amongst the earliest known Neolithic sites in southern England: they appear sometime after mining took place on adjacent parts of the European continent and before causewayed enclosures were first constructed in southern England. Axeheads fabricated at the flint-mining sites were used as votive offerings, part of the interdependent belief system associated with Carinated Bowl pottery and cereal horticulture that was characteristic of the earliest Neolithic ‘horizon’ in southern England. Both were probably introduced by small-scale movements of farmers across the Channel from the European continent L1 - http://www.rcin.org.pl/iae/Content/130307/PDF/WA308_99621_Flint-mining-and-be_I.pdf M3 - Text J2 - Between History and Archaeology : papers in honour of Jacek Lech PY - 2018 EP - 42 KW - flint mining KW - mines KW - flint KW - axeheads KW - votive offerings KW - farming A1 - Holgate, Robin PB - Archaeopress Archaeology CY - Oxford; England T1 - Flint Mining and the Beginning of Farming in Southern England SP - 37 UR - http://www.rcin.org.pl/iae/dlibra/publication/edition/130307 ER - TY - GEN N1 - ill. ; 23 cm M3 - Text J2 - Kwartalnik Historii Kultury Materialnej R. 46 Nr 1-2 (1998) PY - 1998 IS - 1-2 EP - 42 KW - history of material culture A1 - Derda, Tomasz A1 - Łajtar, Adam PB - Instytut Archeolgoii i Etnologii Polskiej Akademii Nauk VL - 46 CY - Warszawa SP - 31 T1 - Data powstania drewnianego reliefu z Aszmunein w zbiorach muzeów berlińskich : uwagi o wykorzystaniu źródeł prawnych dla datowania zabytków sztuki antycznej UR - http://www.rcin.org.pl/iae/dlibra/publication/241634 ER - TY - GEN N1 - 23 cm M3 - Text J2 - Kwartalnik Historii Kultury Materialnej R. 43 Nr 1 (1995) PY - 1995 IS - 1 EP - 42 KW - history of material culture A1 - Jastrebickaja, Ałła L.
