 abstract={Professor Maria Dekówna has been taking part in the activities of the Polish National Committee of the International Association for the History of Glass (AIHV) almost from the very beginning. The Polish Committee was established in 1960 at the initiative of the then Director of the National Museum in Warsaw, Professor Stanisław Lorentz. Professor Joseph Philippe, director of the Museum in Liège, established the AIHV in 1958. From 1989 Professor Maria Dekówna was the Vice-president and since 2004 President of the Polish Committee. This paper presents Professor Maria Dekówna’s comprehensive and dynamic activities, highlighting her main initiatives from that period},
