The Housing Cooperative became an unusual environment for cultural and anti-capitalist and anti-German activities and the place where the model of an exemplary inhabitant of Żoliborz was formed. The everyday life of the cooperative is forgotten today; due to historical perturbations and the post-war communist distortions it lost its original unique character, its meaning and cultural significance. There are plenty of relevant themes that would merit scholarly attention: architectural, urban, educational, social, ideological, political, sociological ones, as well as those related to the perspective of culture studies and those focused on the role of Żoliborz in creating culture, on the lifestyle, role models and values. With no intention to disregard any of the above, I will mainly concentrate on the last aspect}, type={Text}, title={Warszawska Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa – ideowy eksperyment i socjologia w działaniu}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/iae/Content/54881/PDF/WA308_75342_P714_Warszawska-Spoldziel_I.pdf}, keywords={everyday life, urban lifestyle, housing estate space, local community, socialism}, }
