Nowadays, the architecture is shaped by the market mechanisms to the unprecedented degree. In the context of turbo-capitalism actions and the phenomena characteristic of the architecture of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the case study was conducted for which I chose an office building known as the Walkie Talkie, opened in 2014 in a global city, London. The undertaken topic makes it possible to analyse individual participants in the design development and operation of an office building as separate interest groups. It also makes it possible to trace some social and cultural processes that constitute the context of activities around this building. Architecture emerges as a commodity in the hands of developers and corporations, and as an element of a strategy implemented by the city’s decision-makers wishing to attract international capital.}, }
