In the light of the Kazimierz city records from 1674-1795, it is known that the floating bridge on the Vistula was constantly exposed to damage caused by floods and ice phenomena. Maintaining the crossing required constant investment from the city. The funds for this purpose came from fees from partic-ipants of pedestrian and vehicle traffic and the Vistula rafting. The Vistula crossing was of strategic importance for the city’s safety, and at the same time provided employment for a large group of the local community.}, title={Most pływający na Wiśle w Kazimierzu przy Krakowie w latach 1674–1795 w świetle ksiąg dochodów i wydatków miasta Kazimierza (rekonesans badawczy)}, type={Text}, URL={http://www.rcin.org.pl/iae/Content/263333/300427_I.pdf}, keywords={floating bridge, Vistula, Cracow, Kazimierz, 17th–18th centuries}, }
