The topic, so far unexplored, is presented in the broader context of the use of models in Europe. Based on examples of these rare artefacts identified in the literature and archival references, it can be concluded that in the material culture of the Commonwealth, models were known and employed when commissioning various objects and structures. In practice, they were often used in cases involving new or previously unknown solutions, or in prestigious undertakings. The making of models was not a common practice, mainly due to cost considerations, and was usually associated with more demanding patrons and academically trained artists.}, title={Jeszcze o stosowaniu modeli jako narzędzia projektowego i wizualizacji w dawnej Rzeczypospolitej.
