Abstract:

The alterations in the ultrastructure of cerebral vessels in the course of experimental hepatogenic encephalopathy in rats were studied. Hepatic cirrhosis was produced by the administration of carbon tetrachloride. The permeability of cerebral capillaries was studied by means of horseradish peroxidase. The investigation concerned also the localization of nucleoside phosphatases in capillary--glia unit.
