Abstract:

Histological, histochemical (glycogen determination) and electron microscopic studies were carried out on the brains of 94 adult rats exposed to carbon monoxide. The rats were divided into 5 groups of different time and degree of intoxication, the latter finding expression in the blood carboxyhemoglobin level and clinical conditions of the animals.
