Abstract:

The effect of various forms of hypoxia on the permeability of the blood-brain barrier and accumulation in brain of a number of high and low molecular weight compounds labelled with radioactivite isotopes was investigated. The radioactivecompounds like 99mTcO4, 75Se-selenomethionine, Na131I, 131I-human serum albumin, Na82Br, 131I-4-I-antipyrine, were injected intravenously into albino „Wistar” rats of both sexes, weighing 150—250 g.
