Abstract:

World species of the genus Colydium Fabricius (Coleoptera, Zopheridae, Colydiinae) are revised. The following new species are described: Colydium burakowskii sp. nov. (Brazil), C. holynskiorum sp. nov. (Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay), C. manfredi sp. nov.(Mexico), C.marleyi sp. nov. (Jamaica), C. plaumannisp. nov. (Brazil), C. slipinskii sp. nov.(Brazil). New synonyms proposed are as follows: Colydium chiricahuae Dajoz, 1992 (= C. glabriculum Stephan, 1989) and Irenytha sosyloides Pascoe, 1863 (= C. ruficorne Fabricius, 1801).
