Abstract:
The article discusses the "Życie codzienne" ["Everyday Life"] popular science series published by Państwowy Instytut Wydawniczy (PIW) and its latest volume focusing on the daily lives of teachers in interwar Poland (Piotr Gołdyn, Życie codzienne nauczycieli w II Rzeczypospolitej [Everyday life of teachers in the Second Polish Republic], published in 2024). It includes an overview of the book’s contents, a characterization of the historiographical trend of everyday life studies as well as methodological and source-related critical remarks concerning the issues addressed by Gołdyn and his attempt to present them to a broader audience.
