Abstract:

The article is devoted to Henryk Barycz, undoubtedly the most creative figure among Cracow’s historians of culture, science and education. The following reflections analyze his life and work at the Jagiellonian University, drawing on previously untapped sources collected in the Archive of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cracow. The main areas of his work are also be briefly outlined, including his undeniable achievements in research on the history of Cracow’s Alma Mater.
