Title: The Teutonic Order towards education and charity

Abstract:

The article aims to present a subject that still needs to be explored further, namely the attitude of the Teutonic Order to the education. This problem is analyzed in three aspects: the teaching and education of the members of the German Order, the attitude of the Order's authorities to the issues of education in the Teutonic State in Prussia, and the contemporary participation of the Order of the Hospital of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the German House in Jerusalem in various educational projects. Th sue needs to be included in the literature on the subject, and today, the Order runs kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools, music schools in several European countries, and the Academy of Special Education in Passau (Germany).
