Photo (scan from slide). A street leading to the main temple in Kedarnath / Himalayas. There is a bull figure (Nandin) in front of the entrance. Pilgrims stand in line to enter. In the foreground you can see a brahmana writing down the names of the pilgrims who came to the temple. In the background you can see the high peaks of the Himalayas. Kedarnath is at the end of one of the roads leading north. There are no more inhabited places, and there are paths on which only ascetics walk.
