Description:

The fate of female mouse immigrants after release onto a highway cloverleaf with a resident house mouse population, was followed by mark and recapture methods. Few differences were found between pregnant or nonpregnant, multiparous or nulliparous females in trappability, persistence, movement, dispersion or physical condition after immigration. The potential value of the paradigm used in this study for future studies of dispersal is considered.
