Description:

Examination was made of the histological structure of the mandibular bones of 191 field voles, Microtus agrestis (Linnaues, 1761), belonging to the spring (n=104) and autumn generation (n=87). Animals of known age were obtained from laboratory breeding. A description is given of variations with the voles' age in the formation of adhesion lines.
