Electrophoretic examination was made of the non-specific esterases of blood plasma in the inbred bank vole (sib mating). One variable system of esterases (Es-7) controlled by two alleles at a single locus was chosen for this purpose. Inthe whole sample of 64 pairs examined (n=128) Es-7F allele frequency was 0.65, and Es-7s 0.35.
