Description:

Measurements were made of average daily metabolism rate and of food consumption and utilization in common voles, Microtus arvalis (Pallas, 1779). The studies were carried out on control animals at a temperature of 20° C, then the animals were kept fasting for 48 hours and later supplied with food of known composition and caloric value.
