W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono szczególny przypadek swoistej erytropoezy u rodzaju Sorex Linnaeus, 1758. W badaniach naszych stwierdzono, że bazochromatofile i polichromatofile ulegają zmianom morfologicznym w kierunku form plasmacyto- podobnych. Stanowią one znaczny odsetek erytroblastów tkanki kriotwórczej i ich cechą charakterystyczną jest obfita cytoplasma, ekscentryczne jądro i silna bazofilia (Ryc. 1-4).
