Artykuł przedstawia skrót najważniejszych informacji teoretycznych o sieciach komparatorów, skupiając uwagę¸ na problemie agregacji w sieciach homogenicznych i heterogenicznych. Opisuje podstawowe mechanizmy używane w modelowaniu jak również przedstawia rożne sposoby radzenia sobie z problemem agregacji począwszy od metod statystycznych poprzez metody oparte o algorytmy wyborcze aż do metod inspirowanych mereologią przybliżoną (ang. rough mereology).
