Tadeusza Przybylskiego do Turcji na konferencję naukową, która odbywała się w dniach 22-28 października 1973 roku w Istambule na tamtejszym Uniwersytecie (Istanbul University - Cerrahpasa Faculty of Forestry ). Konferencja poświęcona była florze Turcji a w szczególności endemicznej jodle, Abies equi-trojani (Asch. & Sint. ex Boiss.) Mattf. (=Abies nordmanniana subsp. equi-trojani (Asch. & Sint. ex Boiss.) Coode & Cullen. Uczestnicy Konferencji wzięli udział w wycieczce botanicznej do Parku Narodowego Kazdaği, aby zobaczyć jedyne miejsce występowania tej jodły.
