W raporcie opisano program VARIOWIN, wykorzystujący metodę kirigingową do aproksymacji przestrzennej pomiarów środowiskowych. Metoda krigingowa należy do metod geostatycznych, które są wykorzystywane do tworzenia map topograficznych, warstwie i izolinni. Kriging umożliwia wyliczenie i skonstruowanie miedzy innymi numerycznego modelu terenu.
