Abstract:

The paper presents the Neuro-Intuitionistic-Fuzzy Classifier as a theoretical tool for building intelligent decision support systems in medical diagnosis. The proposed approach combines two main methodologies: artificial neural networks and intuitionistic fuzzy sets. The paper briefly presents the structure of the proposed system, and an algorithm for designing it. The proposed solution has beed successfully implemented and applied for solving the real-life decision-making problem from the medical domain: diagnosis of diabetes in Pima Indians female population.
