Abstract:

The research was carried out in a conventional sewage treatment plantequipped with completely mixed reactors, located in Olsztyn. The main problem was that it was impossible to simultaneously achieve high treatment efficiency and appropriate sedimentation of the activated sludge. The observationswere made at different levels of aeration intensity, controlled by the depth ofthe mechanical surface aerator submersion.
