Subject and Keywords: Abstract:The article presents an approach to the evaluation of the topological derivative for the energy type functional. The approach is based on the representation of the energy functional in the form of a minimization procedure for regularly perturbed quadratic functional. It is of some importance for the variational inequalities because it allows to derive the formulae for the topological derivatives which coincide with the formulae obtained for the corresponding liner boundary value problems.
