Abstract:

In the paper, a definition of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers is suggested. The notion of expected interval of an intuitionistic fuzzy number is proposed. Then two families of metrics in space of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are considered and a method of ranking intu­itionistic fuzzy numbers based on these metrics is also suggested and investigated.
