Abstract:

The paper presents the application of the wavelet transform to model the wind velocity and the gusts of wind. For this purpose, the discrete wavelet transform is used, based on the Haar and Daubechies wavelets. The wavelet models for non-stationary data on both, the measurements of the wind velocity and the gusts of wind are proposed, and the data are approximated and de-noised by thresholding. The results obtained are described and presented in the form of figures.
