Abstract:

An experimental work on lymph, stasia in the limbs and lymphatico-venous anastomoses was performed on dogs. By anastomosing the transected lymph, node with the neighbouring vein, a persistent lymphatico-venous shunt was created. - Radiological, Iymphodynamic and histological data are presented. The authors suppose that lymphatico-venous shunts set up by surgical means may play some role in the decompression of lymph stasis in humans.
